It was reported that on 07/01/2010 around 9 am one Muslim minor boy named  Master Sentu Seikh; aged about 14 years, son of Mr. Kuddus Seikh, residing at village Tiktikipara Sub-Division- Domkal, Police Station- Jalangi, District - Murshidabad, West Bengal went to their agrarian land after enrolling his name at out post no II, Khayertala Boeder Outpost camp of Battalion no. 191 of BSF. After some time one BSF constable; posted at the said out post approached him and started interrogating him about illegal cross border business through that area. He had shown ignorance about the same as by no means he has any relation with illegal acts during that interrogation. Subsequently he was brutally assaulted by the BSF constables and was detained at the spot for two hours. Due to that physical torture his left wrist swelled. On the very day victim was taken to Jalangi police station by his father to lodge a written complaint. Mr. Milan Mallick the then duty officer of the said police station initially refused to take the complaint. He also said the victim and his family to comply all instructions or directives given by the BSF. The victim then contacted with our volunteer over phone. Finally, the duty officer took the complaint and registered a general dairy, after immediate intervention of our volunteers, but did not tell the dairy number to the victim family. Next day our fact finding team collected the General Dairy Entry (GDE) number; 332 dated 07/01/2010.

Presently, the victim family is spending their days under huge threat by the BSF personnel and asa consequence they are facing several challenges for earning livelihood, thus, the right to life of the victim family as enshrined in Article 21 of Indian constitution is being hampered.

Though Banglar Manabadhikar Suraksha Mancha (MASUM) made several complaints before different authorities regarding torture perpetrated by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel along the Indo-Bangladesh bordering district, the story remains unchanged.
